First day at school

March is the month when new school year begins.
My daughter just entered elementary school in March 2nd.
The first semester will be over in mid July for summer vacation and the second semester will start late August.

In Korea, children go to school at 8 by Korean age. (She was born Sep. 2002.)

There were eight classes and each class has 28 children(girls:boys = 13:15).
She entered the school that I graduated from. It was another joy to visit my mother school(mother school means in Korea the school that you graduated from) and see the places I studied and cleaned. The good news is the most of the building except one was reconstructed. The school was estabilished in 1943.

When I went to elementary school in 1980, there were seventy students per a teacher.
The bathroom was very old, so there was no flushed toilet. There were just a 'stinky black hole' in the bathroom, thus it was a great adventure for 8 year olds to take a pee.
And there were mysterious stories about the bathroom such as a student fell into the hole and he became a ghost, etc.

Now everything is well renovated and modern... which is good.
